Every parent is given a copy of all our Policies upon registration.
Health & Safety
Health and Safety awareness is of paramount importance within our nursery. At KidVenture we have strict guidelines and policies in place to ensure the safety of your child, the staff and visitors. We carry our daily risk assessments to ensure the setting is safe and review our risk assessments and policies quarterly.
Our premises has fire exits and emergency lighting in every room and temperature controlled taps in the toilet facilities.
Hygiene
It is extremely important that the nursery is clean and hygienic in order to prevent a spread of germs. All toys are cleaned weekly in a sterilising solution to prevent cross infection. To support this we have a “Sick Child Policy” ad ask that unwell children are not brought into the nursery.
Disposable gloves are worn when handling food, when administering first aid and for nappy changing.
We have a cleaner who cleans the nursery on a daily basis. When performing cleaning duties our staff where disposable gloves.
Maintenance
We employ a Maintenance Manager who maintains the good repair of the buildings and grounds and remedies any defects promptly.
Security
KidVenture has an entry door and thereafter a PIN code door to gain access to the nursery. Our staff are trained in opening the door to parents and visitors and our CCTV camera ensure no unauthorised access is gained to the nursery.
All visitors are asked to sign in and out of the visitor’s book.
Should some one other than the parents a child need to collect them, we require prior notification and the third party will require identification and a password to collect your child.
Fire Safety
We have Fire Extinguishers and Fire Blankets onsite and carry our Fire Drills every three months to ensure all staff and children are able to exit the building safely and quickly.
We check our Fire Alarms and Smoke Detectors weekly and have annual checks on our Extinguishers.
